How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan started off strong in the top of the first inning.  With two outs, Josh Galloway singled to right field.  Galloway advanced to second as Zach O'Malley singled to right field.  With runners on first and second, Jordan Montgomery drilled the ball to right field for a double to bring both O'Malley and Galloway in to score and give the Warriors a 2-0 run advantage.

Limestone countered as a double by Burroughs allowed Billesberger to come in and score to put them down one run to the Warriors.

With one out in the top of the third inning, Chance Fogel singled through the right side.  A fielding error by the short stop allowed Josh Galloway to reach first and advanced Fogel to second.  Zach O'Malley was then hit by a pitch to load up the bases and bring Jordan Montgomery up to bat.  Montgomery hit into a sacrifice fly out to left field that allowed Fogel to come in and score to give the Warriors a 3-1 run advantage.  Ty King Richards hit a single to deep center field to allow both O'Malley and Galloway to come acrosse home plate.

The Saints continued to challenge as they brought one more run in to score in the bottom of the fourth inning.

With one out in the top of the fifth inning, Zach O'Malley drilled a home run over the right center field wall to extend Southern Wesleyan's lead to 6-2.

Limestone scored their third run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning.  However, Aaron Bennett and the Warriors were able to keep the Saints at bay to claim the 6-3.
