Southern Wesleyan attacked early in the second quarter as Sasha Schoenborn took a shot on the goal, but Madalynn Brunner saved the attack.  Converse pressed back as Cassidy O'Neill scored to put the Valkyries on top by one goal.  The Warriors were not discouraged as Tabitha Beecher scored her fourth goal of the game to allow Southern Wesleyan to tie it back up.  Beecher rushed down the field once again and sent the ball into the back of the cage to put the Warriors ahead by one.  The Valkyries regained the lead, but Haylee Cureton scored her first goal of the afternoon to allow Southern Wesleyan to tie it up.  They continued to push ahead as Kelsey Hawkins drilled the ball into the back of the cage to put the Warriors back on top by one with just over six minutes left in the second quarter.  Haleigh McSwain scored for the Valkyries to allow them to tie the game back up at eight goals apiece.  Hawkins passed the ball over to Jesse Soles who put the ball into the cage to tie the game up, and then a goal by Jairy Sandoval pushed the Warriors ahead by one.  Kelsey Hawkins scored once again with six seconds on the clock to put the Warriors on top 11-9 at halftime.

The Warriors continued to attack the cage with Kelsey Hawkins and Haylee Cureton attacking the cage, but Madalynn Brunner saved the attacks.  However, the Warriors would not relent as Tabitha Beecher sent the ball into the back of the cage to extend the Warriors lead to three.  A foul in the eight meter allowed Kelsey Hawkins to take a free position shot.  Hawkins charged ahead on the whistle to score and give the Warriors a 13-9 goal advantage.  The Valkyries countered to get back within three, but back-to-back goals by Tabitha Beecher and Jesse Soles put the Warriors on top by five.  With just over nine minutes on the clock, Jocelyn Cosgrove sent the ball into the back of the cage.  Converse fought back, but Tabitha Beecher continued to pressure the Valkyries defense as she sent the ball back into the cage.

Southern Wesleyan maintained the pressure in the final quarter of the game as Jairy Sandoval passed the ball over Yael Echeverria who drilled the ball into the cage to give the Warriors an 18-13 goal victory.  The Valkyries got back within four on a free position goal by Libby Stevens, but the Warriors countered as Kelsey Hawkins scored once again to regain the Warriors five goal advantage.  Southern Wesleyan pushed further ahead on free position goals by both Hawkins and Tabitha Beecher.  The Valkyries challenged, but were unable to pass the Warriors as Southern Wesleyan walked away with a 21-19 goal victory.
