Dahlonega, GA – Southern Wesleyan fell to the North Georgia Nighthawks on the road on Tuesday evening in an 11-6 final score.
The Warriors tallied 13 hits in the loss to the Nighthawks.
Chance Fogel led the team with four hits with
Zach O'Malley following with three. O'Malley hit both a double and a home run in the game. Over the five RBIs the Warriors collected, O'Malley had three. Three Warriors stole bases during the contest.
TJ McEvilly started the game on the mound for Southern Wesleyan.
Beau Shaw,
Devyn Bond and
Aaron Bennett all came in to pitch in relief. Shaw recorded three of the four strikeouts in the game.

How It Happened
North Georgia struck early as Levenstei homered and a single by Frost brought three runs in to score to give the Nighthawks an early 3-0 lead.
The Warriors countered in the top of the second inning. With one out,
Zach O'Malley singled and then advanced to second on a wild pitch.
Ty King Richards then singled to bring O'Malley across home plate and put Southern Wesleyan down 3-1.
Southern Wesleyan came within one run in the top of the third inning.
Chance Fogel singled with one out. He then stole second base to get within scoring position.
Josh Galloway singled to bring Fogel in to score.
The Nighthawks distanced themselves from the Warriors with runs in the bottom of the third and fifth innings.
Jordan Montgomery led off the top of the sixth inning with a single. An error by the Nighthawks left fielder allow
Will Pitts to reach first base and advance Montgomery to third base.
Zach O'Malley then drilled a home run over the outfield wall to bring both Pitts and Montgomery in to score to put Southern Wesleyan down one run to North Georgia.
North Georgia pushed further ahead in the top of sixth inning as they brought four more runs in to extend their lead to 10-5.
The Warriors were not discouraged as they challenged once again in the top of the seventh inning. With one out,
Chance Fogel singled and then advanced to second on a passed ball. A single by
Jordan Montgomery allowed Fogel to come home to put the Warriors within four runs of the Nighthawks.
North Georgia would not relent as they scored once again in the bottom of the eighth inning to win the game in an 11-6 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will remain on the road on March 4 and 5 as they travel to Bristol, TN to take on the King Tornado in Conference Carolinas action. They will then host the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles on March 9 at 4 p.m. The Warriors will then travel to Franklin Springs, GA to take on the Emmanuel Lions on March 11 and 12.
