How It Happened

The Mountain Lions charged out of the gate as Kinsley Purser scored to give Young Harris a 1-0 lead.  Goals by Purser, Taylor Greenberg and Parker Vaughan allowed the Mountain Lions to extend their lead to 4-0.  Southern Wesleyan countered with a shot by Tabitha Beecher, but Rachel Robb saved the ball to prevent the attack from paying off.

Young Harris continued to push ahead with a goal by Ally Cattoni to extend their lead to 7-0.  Southern Wesleyan countered as Kelsey Hawkins took a shot on the goal, but once again Robb prevented the ball from meeting the back of the cage.  Southern Wesleyan continued to challenge as Ansley Burroughs and Jocelyn Cosgrove each took shots on goal, but still the balls were unable to meet the back of the cage.  A foul in the eight meter allowed Tabitha Beecher to take a free position shot.  Beecher sent the ball into the back of the cage to put the Warriors down 8-1 to the Mountain Lions.

The Mountain Lions continued to push ahead as Ella Hancock scored off a pass from Emily Flynt to put them ahead 12-1 to start off the third quarter.  Young Harris continued to prevent the Warriors from cutting into their lead during the third quarter.

Young  Harris continued to challenge with shots by Ashlyn Fraley and Ruthie Mandell, but Kaeleigh McDaniel saved the attempts to keep the Mountain Lions from extending their lead even further.  The Mountain Lions went on to win the game in a 15-1 final score.
