Point Guard Brittany Mack says…

"Success is best when it's shared!  This afternoon was a great team win.  We all played very hard and played our roles to contribute into a big conference win.  Everything is better when everyone is playing, and that is what we did today."

How It Happened

North Greenville struck quickly as Kelby Lyles and Jayda Glass hit back-to-back layups.  The Warriors countered as Brittany Mack stepped behind the arc and made a three point shot.  Southern Wesleyan challenged the Crusaders every attack.  A three point shot by Tristen Berry allowed the Warriors to take the lead with around five minutes on the clock.  The Warriors extended their lead to five points as Brittany Mack made her second three point shot of the evening.

The Warriors kicked off the second quarter with a three point shot by Shelby Glance.  They continued to distance themselves from the Crusaders as Glance and Tristen Berry made back-to-back shots.  North Greenville countered as Abi Oates put up a three pointer.  However, the Warriors maintained the intensity as a three out of the hands of Glance gave them a twelve point advantage.  Allie Newberry laid the ball up into the basket with under five minutes on the clock.  Back-to-back layups by Brittany Mack and Shelby Glance pushed the Warriors lead to seventeen.  A last second layup by Alexis Glover put the Warriors ahead 43-23 at halftime.

Southern Wesleyan picked up where they left off as Shelby Glance collected a pass from Brittany Mack and put up a jump shot to extend the Warriors lead to twenty-two.  A layup by Maliyah Lockett put the Crusaders back within twenty.  It was short lived as Brittany Mack stepped beyond the arc and sunk another three pointer for the Warriors.  Brooke Henricks followed with a three of her own.  Lockett put up another shot for the Crusaders, but the Warriors continued to distance themselves as Allie Newberry laid the ball up into the basket.

North Greenville fought back with a three out of the hands of Abi Oates, but a three pointer by Tristen Berry allowed the Warriors to regain their twenty-two point advantage.  Angie Rodriguez and Maliyah Locket each laid the ball up.  However, Brooke Henricks stole the ball away and laid it up on a fast break to put the Warriors ahead 68-46.  Allie Newberry collected a pass from Berry and stepped beyond the arc before sinking a three.  Southern Wesleyan went on to win the game in a 77-56 final score.
