How It Happened

Bob Jones attacked early with several shots on the goal, but Wesley Bigbee and the Warriors back-line stayed strong to prevent the Bruins off the board.  The Warriors attacked as Ryan Rodriguez took a shot on goal, but Chris Monczewski saved the attack.  Tipton Wright followed the attack through, but still the goalkeeper stayed strong on the back line.  Pedro Fonseca drilled the ball toward the net, but the Bruins defender got in the way to block the attack from paying off.  The Bruins remained strong as a goal by Conley Burk allowed Bob Jones to take a 1-0 goal advantage halfway through the first half.  Once again the Bruins attacked, but Wesley Bigbee dove in front of the ball to prevent Bob Jones from extending their lead further.

Bob Jones remained on the offensive as Jake Provenzano took a shot on the goal, but it soared high over the net.  The Bruins would not relent as Mario Figueroa scored the second goal of the afternoon for Bob Jones to extend their lead.  The Warriors countered as Austin Snow took a shot on the goal, but the Bruins deflected the attack to keep Southern Wesleyan from cutting into their lead.  Southern Wesleyan maintained the attack as Gabriel Melendez took a shot on the goal, but his shot went wide right.  Bob Jones continued to attack as they sent the ball toward the net, but at the last moment Tipton Wright got the ball out of the net to prevent the Bruins from extending their lead further.  Trey Greenwood collected a corner kick and sent it toward the net, but the ball barely missed the frame.  Bob Jones continued to push ahead as they scored once more off the foot of Figueroa.  Austin Snow broke away from the pack and sent it to the net, but Chris Monczewski dove to the side to save the attack from meeting the net.  However, Bob Jones would win the game in a 4-0 final score.
