Tipton Wright, each with solo shots on goal. The Warriors recorded two corner kicks.
Bryson Dodd started the game in goal for Southern Wesleyan, collecting one save.

How It Happened
Barton charged out of the gate, with back-to-back goals by Luis Hernandez Velasco to give the Bulldogs a two goal advantage just seven minutes into the game. Southern Wesleyan countered with shots on goal by
Hykeem Martin and
Tipton Wright, but Jacob Randolph saved the ball to keep the Warriors from tying the game back. The Warriors continued to attack with shots by
Zachary Hurst and Martin, but the ball went out of the top left.
The Bulldogs kicked off the second half with a goal by Magnus Mikkelsen to give Barton a 3-0 goal advantage over Southern Wesleyan. The Warriors countered as
Noah Koch sent the ball to the net, but the Bulldogs thwarted the attack to keep Southern Wesleyan to cut into their lead. A penalty in the box allowed
Hykeem Martin to take a penalty kick shot, but Jacob Randolph saved the shot. Barton scored twice more to win the game in a 5-0 final.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Winston-Salem, NC to take on the Carolina Bruins on September 30 at 6 p.m. The Warriors will return to Childs Field on October 6 at 7:30 p.m. as they host the King Tornado in Central, SC. They will then host the Converse Valkyries on October 9 at 7:30 p.m. for Homecoming. Southern Wesleyan will then travel to Tigerville, SC to take on the North Greenville Crusaders on October 12.
