How It Happened

Barton charged out of the gate, with back-to-back goals by Luis Hernandez Velasco to give the Bulldogs a two goal advantage just seven minutes into the game.  Southern Wesleyan countered with shots on goal by Hykeem Martin and Tipton Wright, but Jacob Randolph saved the ball to keep the Warriors from tying the game back.  The Warriors continued to attack with shots by Zachary Hurst and Martin, but the ball went out of the top left.

The Bulldogs kicked off the second half with a goal by Magnus Mikkelsen to give Barton a 3-0 goal advantage over Southern Wesleyan.  The Warriors countered as Noah Koch sent the ball to the net, but the Bulldogs thwarted the attack to keep Southern Wesleyan to cut into their lead.  A penalty in the box allowed Hykeem Martin to take a penalty kick shot, but Jacob Randolph saved the shot.  Barton scored twice more to win the game in a 5-0 final.
