Spartanburg, SC – Southern Wesleyan placed high in several events at the Hub City Relays on Friday afternoon.

Track Events
100 Meters:
Kayla Achenbach led the Warriors in the 100 meters as she finished in 3
rd with a time of 12.35. She was followed by
Miriam Ross in 18
th with a time of 13.91.
400 Meters:
Hattie Pitts took 16
th in the 400 meters on Friday afternoon as she finished with a time of 1:07.64.
800 Meters: In the 800 meters,
Madison Lewellen finished in seventh with a time of 2:33.55. She was followed by teammate
Abbey Frock in ninth with a time of 2:34.33
1500 Meters:
Macey Morgan led the Warriors in the 1500 meters as she finished in sixth with a time of 5:10.91. Morgan was followed by teammate
Kyra Hood in eighth with a time of 5:20.40.
Gisselle Lopez and
Julia Reeves were the next two Warriors to finish. Lopez took 12
th with a time of 5:38.98 while Reeves finished in 16
th with a time of 5:41.92.
Caroline Lamb wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she took 29
th with a time of 6:26.33.
5000 Meters:
Macey Morgan finished in seventh in the 5000 meters with a time of 23:29.72.
Caroline Lamb,
Kyra Hood and
Madison Lewellen were the next three Warriors to finish. Lamb took 10
th with a time of 25:42.74, Hood took 11
th with a 25:44.57 and Lewellen took 12
th with a time of 25:46.36.
4x400 Meter Relay: The team of
Madison Lewellen,
Abbey Frock,
Hattie Pitts and
Julia Reeves took fourth with a time of 4:34.99
Field Events
Javelin:
Olivia Arredondo led the Warriors in the javelin on Friday afternoon as she threw a distance of 26.60 meters to put her in fourth place. She was followed by
Chloe Foster in ninth with a throw of 22.28 meters.
Sophie Thiel took 14
th as she threw a distance of 19.76 meters.
Pole Vault: Senior
Haley McLaughlin took fourth in the pole vault as she vaulted a 2.70 meters.
High Jump: Southern Wesleyan was led by
Haley McLaughlin in the high jump as she took eighth with a height of 1.47 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next compete in the Gamecock Invitational on April 10. They will then wrap up the regular season on April 17 as they travel back to Columbia, SC to take part in the USC Open. Southern Wesleyan will then take part in the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championship on April 23 and 24.
