How It Happened

Game One
Southern Wesleyan took the first runs of the game in the first inning.  DJ Ludwick led off with a walk and then advanced to second on a single to right field by Angelo Pahila.  With two on and no one out, Tanner Glass singled to left field to bring Ludwick in and put the Warriors on top 1-0.  They extended their lead on the next at bat as a double down the right field line by Josh Galloway allowed Pahila to come in a score.  Parker Pillsbury hit into a sacrifice fly to bring Glass in and put the Warriors ahead 3-0.  With one out and Galloway at second base, Sawyer Price doubled down the left field line to bring Galloway in.  Ty King Richards put the ball into play and then a fielding error allowed him to be safe at first and bring Price home to give the Warriors a 5-0 lead.

The Warriors struck again in the top of the fourth inning.  DJ Ludwick led off with a double to left field and then a sacrifice bunt by Caden Cotton allowed Ludwick to advance to third.  With Ludwick ninety feet from home, Tanner Glass put the ball in play to bring Ludwick in.

The Bulldogs plated runs in the bottom of the fourth and sixth innings, but TJ McEvilly and Aaron Bennett continue to work to prevent Barton from push ahead and allow the Warriors to take a 6-2 run victory.
