How It Happened

North Greenville charged out of the gate with shots by Emma Shearer, Faith Knoedler and Alyssa Mendez, but Taylor Hanzel and the Warriors defense countered there every attack to keep the Crusaders off the board.  Southern Wesleyan countered with shots on goal by Bryanna Pickens, but the Crusaders deflected the shots.  The Crusaders maintained the pressure, but the Warriors would not be deterred.  Despite multiple attacks on both side the game was 0-0 at halftime.

The Warriors took the first shot of the second half off the foot of Joy Namyst, but the Crusaders countered with shots by Knoedler.  Despite back-to-back shots on goal by Hayleigh Von Ins, North Greenville took the first goal of the game off the foot of Ansley Robinson.  The Crusaders maintained the pressure with a goal by Knoedler.  Southern Wesleyan were not discouraged as Mallory Butler took a free kick for the Warriors and sent it into the net.  Bryanna Pickens collected the shot and fired it into the net to put the Warriors down 2-1.  Despite a strong defensive stand, the Crusaders scored once more to win the game 3-1.
