Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan finished in top spots as they competed in their second home event of the outdoor season on Saturday.

Track Results
100 Meters:
Jami Wright took first with a time of 11.96 in the 100 meters. She was followed by
Lauryn Tate in 13
th with a time of 13.01 meters and
Avrel Jean in 22
nd with a time of 13.47. In 31
st,
Meshayla Maddox finished with a time of 13.94.
Miriam Ross wrapped up the field with a 36
th place finish and time of 14.26.
100 Meter Hurdles: In the 100 meter hurdles,
Meshayla Maddox took 15
th with a time of 17.37.
200 Meters: Southern Wesleyan was led by
Kayla Achenbach in the 200 meters as she took eighth with a time of 25.87. She was followed by
Lauryn Tate and Blessing Laudermilich. Tate took 12
th with a time of 26.37 and Laudermilich finished in 16
th with a time of 26.93. Jean Avrel finished in 20
th with a time of 27.15.
Alana Edwards and
Miriam Ross followed as Edwards took 26
th with a time of 27.85 and Ross took 32
nd with a time of 28.80.
400 Meters: In the 400 meter,
Carmen DeVries took sixth with a time of 1:00.56.
400 Meter Hurdles:
Keyanna Williams led the Warriors in the 400 meter hurdles as she took fourth place with a time of 1:07.74.
800 Meters:
Taylor Broadwell took fourth in the 800 meters as she finished with a time of 2:25.74. She was followed by teammate
Lycia Zavala in ninth with a time of 2:28.27.
Abbey Frock and
Hattie Pitts wrapped up the field for Southern Wesleyan. Frock took 27
th with a time of 2:41.61 and Pitts finished in 31
st with a time of 2:44.96.
1500 Meters:
Madison Lewellen led the Warriors as took 10
th with a time of 5:10.63 meters.
Macey Morgan followed Lewellen with a time of 5:11.04 to take 11
th. In 12
th was
Kyra Hood with a time of 5:12.30.
Abbey Frock and
Sydney Palmer were the next two Warriors to finish. Frock took 16
th with a time of 5:15.52 and Palmer took 17
th with a time of 5:15.53. They were followed by
Gisselle Lopez in 29
th with a time of 5:40.54 and
Julia Reeves in 30
th with a time of 5:40.90.
Alison Dickson took 39
th with a time of 6:04.22.
Caroline Lamb wrapped up the field for the Warriors with a time of 6:20.67 to take 43
rd.
3000 Meters:
Kyra Hood finished in eighth in the 3000 meters as she crossed the finish line with a time of 11:54.06.
4x400 Meter Relay: Southern Wesleyan led the whole pack in the 4x400 meter relay as the team of
Lycia Zavala,
Carmen DeVries,
Lauryn Tate and
Jami Wright finished with a time of 4:01.81 to put them in first. They were followed by the Warriors second team of
Hattie Pitts,
Madison Lewellen,
Taylor Broadwell and
Abbey Frock as they took eighth with a time of 4:35.07.
Field Results
Javelin: In the javelin, Misha Mercuis led the Warriors as she took 10
th with a throw of 27.97 meters. Teammate
Olivia Arredondo finished in 12
th with a throw of 24.09 meters.
Lakin Long and
Chloe Foster were the next two Warriors to finish. Long took 18
th with a throw of 21.92 meters and Foster took 19
th with a throw of 21.87.
Sophie Thiel wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she took 28
th with a throw of 17.77.
Pole Vault: In the pole vault,
Haley McLaughlin finished in a tie for fourth place as she cleared a distance of 3.07 meter.
Hammer Throw:
Kelsie Smith led the team in the women's hammer as she took second with a throw of 49.25 meters. She was followed by
Hannah Hall in seventh with a throw of 39.67 meters.
Taylee Grimes wrapped up the field for the Warriors as she took 24
th with a throw of 26.26 meters.
Triple Jump: In the triple jump, Blessing Laudermilich finished in sixth with a jump of 10.44 meters. She was followed
Grace Chen in 14
th with 9.20 meters.
Shot Put:
Kelsie Smith led the team as she took sixth with a throw of 11.53 meters.
Taylee Grimes took 24
th with a throw of 8.46 meters.
Discus: Southern Wesleyan was led by
Hannah Hall in the discus on Saturday as she threw a distance of 28.12 meters to put her in 20
th. Hall was followed by
Lakin Long in 25
th with a throw of 24.56 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will close out the regular season at the Gamecock Invitational on April 10 and the USC Open on April 17. They will then compete in the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships on April 23 and 24.
