Ameek Batth and
Anya King led the Warriors in doubles play in the loss to the Valkyries on Sunday as they defeated the team of Glogowsk-Watson and Parrott in a 6-2 final. Playing in the No. 2 position,
Natalie White and
Maria Aspasia Kotsiou challenged Vendrell and Prinz, but the Valkyries persevered in 6-4 final.
In singles play,
Ameek Batth defeated Vendrell 6-1 and 6-2 to pick up the first singles point for the Warriors.
Anya King claimed the second victory as she defeated Parrott 7-5 and 6-2.
Maria Aspasia Kotsiou challenged Glogowski-Watson as she took the first set 6-3 before dropping the second 4-6. In the final set, both Aspasia Kotsiou and Glogowski-Watson challenged with the set going back and forth before the Glogowski claimed the victory in a 13-15 final.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the season on the road as they travel to Tigerville, SC to take on the North Greenville Crusaders on April 13. They will remain on the road on April 16 and 17 as they take on the Lees-McRae Bobcats and King Tornado.
