How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan attacked the net early as both Zachary Hurst and Tyler Zoucha put up shots, however the Tornado kept their shots from paying off.  King countered to score back-to-back goals by Ruben Laureano and Ben Delisle to put them ahead 2-0.  Despite trailing the Tornado, the Warriors persisted in attacking the net with shots by Jon-Luke Rodriguez.  At half, the Tornado led the game 5-0.

The Warriors maintained the pressure as they came back to the field after half with shots by Hurst and Diego Hernandez, but Collin Parsons saved the ball from reaching the back of the net.  King countered with attacks of their own, but Brandon Trimby and the Warriors defense kept the Tornado from furthering their lead.  Southern Wesleyan's efforts paid off as Hernandez passed the ball up to Rodriguez, who weaved around the goalkeeper and then sent the ball into the back of the net to put the Warriors down 5-1.  King regained their five goal advantage minutes later off the foot of Laureano.  Despite more shots on goal by Hurst, Rodriguez and Zoucha, the Tornado won the game 12-1.
