The Warriors took one of the three doubles matches of the afternoon.
Ameek Batth and
Anya King picked up the lone victory. Batth and King defeated the dual team of Dom and Seib in a 6-3 final.
Natalie White and
Maria Aspasia Kotsiou challenged in their doubles match, but fell to Vaughn and Peterson in a 4-6 final.
In singles play,
Ameek Batth claimed the lone victory for the Warriors as she defeated Vaughn 6-2 and 6-4.
Maria Aspasia Kotsiou challenged in her singles sets, but dropped each in a 4-6 and 6-7 final scores. As the No. 5 singles player,
Natalie White forced her match to three sets as she took the first one 7-6 before dropping the next two in 4-6 and 1-6 finals.
What's Next
The Warriors will return to the Rev Leroy C Cox Tennis Complex on March 26 and 27 as they host the Chowan Hawks and Barton Bulldogs. They will then welcome the Emmanuel Lions to Central, SC on March 30. Southern Wesleyan will remain at home on April 10 as they host the Converse Valkyries at 11 a.m.
