Tigerville, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped the final game of the four game series against the North Greenville Crusaders in a 16-2 final score on Tuesday evening.
The Warriors recorded three hits in the loss on Tuesday.
Chance Fogel tripled and
DJ Ludwick recorded a sacrifice hit.
Ty King Richards had the lone RBI for the Warriors. Southern Wesleyan had four players walk and left six runners on base.
Sean Sutay was hit by a pitch.
Andrew Patterson had his collegiate start for the Warriors against the Crusaders. Patterson pitched two innings while striking out two. Five Warriors came in to pitch in relief.
Sandy Johnson,
TJ McEvilly and
Chance Fogel joined Patterson with two strikeouts apiece in the game. Southern Wesleyan combined to strike out nine North Greenville batters.

How It Happened
North Greenville charged out of the gate in the final game of the series on Tuesday. A single and stolen base resulted in their first two runs in the bottom of the first inning. They finished up the bottom of the first with a home run by Holladay to put them on top 5-0.
The Warriors countered in the top of the second inning. With one out,
Josh Galloway walked and then advanced to second on a ground out by
Parker Pillsbury.
Dawson Posick followed with a walk to put two on and bring
Sawyer Price up to bat. Price singled to center field and a misplay in the outfield allowed Galloway to come home and put the Warriors down 5-1.
Trailing 6-1 in the top of the third inning, the Warriors continued to fight at the plate.
Chance Fogel led off the inning with a deep triple down the right field line.
Ty King Richards followed with a single that brought Fogel in to score.
North Greenville maintained the pressure at the plate as they scored eight more times in the top of the fifth inning to put their lead to 14-2. The Crusaders went on to win the game 16-2.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will return to Central, SC on March 19 as they host the Emmanuel Lions for game one of a four game series on March 19. They will continue play against the Lions on March 20 and 21. The Warriors will stay in Central, SC on March 26 and 27 as they welcome the Erskine Flying Fleet to Dr. C Keith Connor Field.
