Tigerville, SC – Southern Wesleyan dropped the opening game in the series against the North Greenville Crusaders on Friday in a 12-0 final.
The Warriors had four hits in the loss to the Crusaders.
Tanner Glass hit a double during the game. Two Warriors walked and
Nolan Steevens was hit by a pitch.
Ryan Moore started the first game of the series and struck out one batter.
Aidan Evans and
Aaron Wimpey came in to pitch in relief.

How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan threatened early as
Josh Galloway and
Tanner Glass both got on base in the top of the first inning, however North Greenville got out of the inning without allowing the Warriors to get onto the board. The Warriors shut out the Crusaders for the first two and a half innings before a home run by Angeli put North Greenville on top 1-0. The Crusaders extended their lead further in the bottom of the fifth on the second home run of the day. Despite the Warriors getting on base several more times, the Crusaders pressed forward to win the game 12-0.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will continue in the series against the North Greenville Crusaders on March 13 at 1 and 4 p.m. They will then wrap up the series on March 16 at 6 p.m. The Warriors will then return to Dr. C Keith Connor Field on March 19-21 as they host the Emmanuel College Lions.
