Johnson City, TN – Southern Wesleyan continued to succeed during the second day of the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational on Saturday, finishing in the top ten in several events.

Track Events
60 Meter Hurdles : In the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdles,
Meshayla Maddox took seventh with a qualifying run of 10.06. Maddox went on to advance to the finals where she finished in eighth with a time of 10.13.
200 Meters :
Michele Beugre claimed the Warriors second first place finish of the weekend. Beugre finished the 200 meters with a time of 25.42 to put her in first.
Carrie Barton followed her in 22
nd with a time of 27.19. Barton was followed by
Lycia Zavala in 33
rd with a time of 27.66 and Blessing Loudermilich in 37
th with a time of 28.09.
Meshayla Maddox took 43
rd with a time of 28.66 and
Miriam Ross finished in 49
th with a time of 29.60.
400 Meters :
Michele Beugre took second place in the women's 400 meters as she finished with a time of 58.16. She was followed by teammate
Carmen DeVries in 10
th with a time of 1:01.54.
Lycia Zavala took 20
th with a time of 1:04.17.
Field Events
Triple Jump : In the triple jump, freshman Blessing Loudermilich took seventh place after a jump of 10.82 meters. Loudermilich was followed by teammate
Grace Chen. Chen took 12
th with a jump of 9.37 meters.
Pole Vault : Senior
Haley McLaughlin took fourth place in the pole vault on Saturday afternoon after a vault of 3.10 meters.
Shot Put : Freshman
Hannah Johnson took seventh in the shot put with a throw of 10.16 meters. Johnson was followed by
Hannah Hall. Hall took 11
th with a throw of 9.13 meters.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will wrap up the regular portion of the indoor season at the USC Indoor Open on February 13. They will then travel to Virginia Beach, VA to take part in the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championship on February 21.
