Dahlonega, GA – Southern Wesleyan dropped both games to the University of North Georgia Nighthawks on Saturday in 11-2 and 4-0 final scores.

How It Happened
Game One
Southern Wesleyan took the first runs of the game. With two out in the top of the second inning,
Ashton Martin walked. With Martin on first,
Emma Collins knocked a home run over the left field wall to put the Warriors on top 2-0.
North Georgia countered to come to 2-1 behind the Warriors in the bottom of the inning off a home run of their own. The Nighthawks pushed ahead in the bottom of the third, plating five runs to take a 6-2 run lead. North Georgia continued to push ahead, winning the game 11-2 after five innings of play.
Game Two
North Georgia scored first in the bottom of the first inning as Simmons hit a three run home run. The Warriors kept the Nighthawks from extending their lead further until the bottom of the third inning on a sacrifice fly. Despite a triple by
Emma Collins, North Georgia went on to win the second game 4-0.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Jacksonville, FL on March 5 to take on Trinity Baptist. They will remain in Florida on March 6 as they travel to St. Augustine to take on the Flagler Saints. Southern Wesleyan will open up Conference Carolinas action on March 12 as they welcome the Barton Bulldogs to Varsity Field.
