Warriors Challenge Mountain Lions in Loss

Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the Young Harris Mountain Lions on Saturday in a 4-3 final.

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took the first three singles matches of the evening.  Peter Kovats defeated Kash Reddiyar 3-6, 7-6 (3-0) and 11-9.  Jonas Grasmuck and Sarvesh Maria also won their singles match ups against the Mountain Lions.  Enzo Marcheschi forced his singles match-up to three, but dropped to Rodrigo Mendoza 3-6, 6-3 and 10-8.

In doubles play, Peter Kovats and Jonas Grasmuck were the lone Warriors to walk away with a victory.  The teams of Sarvesh Maria and Enzo Marcheschi, and Fabian Segreda and Joseph Olatunji both challenged their competitors, but the Mountain Lions ultimately won out to win the match in a 4-3 final.

 
What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Milledgeville, GA to take on the Georgia College Bobcats.  They will return home on March 11 to welcome the Anderson Trojans to Central, SC.  They will then open up conference play on March 19 as they travel to Mount Olive, NC to take on the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive.
