Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the Barton Bulldogs in a 91-46 final score on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors shot 36.4% from the field in the loss to the Bulldogs.
Brooke Henricks led the team with 12 points, while
Amy Soumare followed with 10. Henricks had the lone assist during the game. Soumare led the team with two of the six steals. Soumare and
Treasure Lone led the team with four rebounds apiece.

How It Happened
The Bulldogs charged out of the gate, taking a 5-0 lead on baskets by Jami Tham-Morrobel. The Warriors countered with a free throw by
Halee Morrison and layup by
Brooke Henricks to put Southern Wesleyan down 5-3. Barton maintained the pressure, pushing their lead to 11 points on another layup by Tham-Morrobel. Despite baskets by Henricks and
Essence Sims, the Bulldogs led 29-13 at the end of the first quarter.
Barton sunk the first basket of the second quarter on a layup by Zanah Boyd. Henricks made free throws to keep Southern Wesleyan within twenty of Barton. The Bulldogs continued to challenge the Warriors defense, going on an eleven point run before Henricks laid the ball up to put the score at 46-17.
Lonesha Lee put up a last second lay-up to put the Warriors down 52-21 at half.
Michelle Gainey made a three pointer for Barton to kick-off the third quarter of play. Southern Wesleyan countered with layups by
Amy Soumare to put the Warriors down thirty points to Barton. The Bulldogs continued to push their lead even further on a layup by Boyd.
Sasha Schoenborn put up a jump shot with just under two minutes left to put the score at 66-31.
The Bulldogs put up two free throws to start the final quarter, and then Akira Wiggins laid the ball up to put their lead at 74-31.
Tristen Berry and Schoenborn laid the ball up for the Warriors, but the Bulldogs countered on a fast break layup by Tham-Morrobel. Despite a late three pointer by
Treasure Lone, the Warriors fell to the Bulldogs 91-46.
