Anderson, SC – Southern Wesleyan fell to the Flagler Saints on Saturday afternoon in an 87-61 final score.
The Warriors shot 41.7% from the field in the loss to the Saints.
Ta'Jay Dunlap led the Warriors with 23 points in the loss. Southern Wesleyan had six assists. The Warriors collected 29 rebounds during the game with
Hunter Davis leading the team with seven. Both Dunlap and
Julian Cameron had two steals during the game.

How It Happened
Flagler charged out of the gate, taking a 7-0 lead before back-to-back layups by
Demarcus Addie put the Warriors down by three points.
Julian Cameron sunk a jump shot to put the Warriors down 6-11, but Jaizec Lottie sunk a three to put the Saints back ahead by eight. The Warriors continued to chip away at the Saints lead on baskets by
Hunter Davis and
Ta'Jay Dunlap to put them within eight points. Despite trailing Flagler, the Warriors continued the intensity as a jump shot by
Tranard Ferrell allowed Southern Wesleyan to come to 15-22 behind the Saints. The Warriors continued to chip away as back-to-back three pointers by Cameron and
Davion Bradford put Southern Wesleyan within six. A layup by Ferrell cut the Saints lead to four. However, Flagler continued to push ahead, but a three-point basket by Bradford put the Warriors down 37-41 with just at a minute left in the first half. Flagler pushed ahead to lead 45-37 at halftime.
The Saints took the first point of the second half as Curtis Lewis sunk a three off a pass from Jaizec Lottie. Flagler would not let up, taking an eighteen-point lead on back-to-back layups by Lottie before a layup by
Ta'Jay Dunlap put the Warriors back within sixteen. Dunlap and
Hunter Davis each made layups to put the score a 44-55. Flagler would not let up, taking a 22-point lead on a three point shot by Chase Fiddler. The Warriors came to within 20 points on a layup by
Arusha Hunter and three-pointer from Dunlap. Flagler upped the intensity to take a 31-point lead on a layup by Chris Metzger. With just over three minutes left, Hunter made a three point shot to put the Warriors behind the Saints 56-84.
Jordan Base sunk a three with just under two minutes left, however the Warriors went on to drop the game in an 87-61 final score.
What's Next
Southern Wesleyan will next travel to Greenwood, SC to take on the Lander Bearcats for the second time this season. The Warriors will then host their home and conference opener on November 23 as they take on the Belmont Abbey Crusaders in Historic Tysinger Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m. The Warriors will then travel to Dahlonega, GA on November 27 to take the on North Georgia Nighthawks.
