Southern Wesleyan charged out of the gate as Cayla Hughes took a shot on the goal from beyond the box, but Erin Foster collected the ball to keep the Warriors off the board.  Seconds later, King took the first goal of the afternoon as Kendall Morrison scored to give the Tornado a 1-0 lead.  The Tornado challenged again, but the Warriors defense stayed strong to keep King from extending their lead further.  Just ten minutes into the game, the Tornado scored their second goal of the afternoon.  The Warriors continued to challenge with shots by Hughes and Hayleigh Von Ins, but the Tornado defense stayed strong to keep them off the board.  Southern Wesleyan continued their attack as Joy Namyst crossed the ball to Hughes who drilled it toward the goal, but Erin Foster collected it to keep the Warriors from cutting into their lead.  Despite a late shot by Madi Wurst, the Warriors trailed the Tornado 2-0 at half.

The Warriors came out strong in the second half as Natalie Thompson and Joy Namyst each sent a shot toward the goal that went high.  Southern Wesleyan maintained their urgency as Namyst drilled the ball to the low center of the net, but Erin Foster collected it to keep the Warriors from cutting into their lead.  The Warriors continued to pepper the net as Cayla Hughes, Bryanna Pickens and Heily Hernandez all took shots, but the Tornado defense stayed strong to deter the Warriors threats.  Despite late shots by Ashley Allen and Thompson, the Warriors fell to the Tornado in a 2-0 final.
