Women's Tennis Falls to Coker in Road Match

Hartsville, S.C. - Southern Wesleyan fell to the Coker Cobras in a 7-0 final on Friday.

How It Happened

The Warriors went 0-3 in doubles action. Paulina Jankun and Neomi Aguirre fell to Charlotte Clarke and Gabriela Del Val in a 6-2 final. Iva Jankovic and Torrienne Emery fell to Tamie Chew and Gracie Waldron in a 6-1 final. Ashley Dube and Lydia Kovats fell to Zoe Heed and Kelly Stinchcomb in a 6-0 final.

In singles action, the Warriors went 0-6. Iva Jankovic fell to Chew 6-1 and 6-2. Paulina Jankun challenged, but fell to Clarke 6-4, 2-6, and 10-8. Noemi Aguirre fell to Del Val in 6-1, 1-6, and 7-5 final scores. Torrienne Emery fell to Heed in 6-4 and 6-1 final scores. Ashley Dube fell to Waldron in a 6-2 and 6-3 final, while Lydia Kovats fell to Stinchcomb in 6-2 and 6-1 final scores. 

 

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will host their Conference Carolinas home opener on February 29 at 1 p.m. as they host the Erskine Flying Fleet. They will then travel to play Young Harris on March 7 at 12 p.m.
