How It Happened
The Warriors won three out of the six matches against Chowan in the singles action. Anya King took the first win for the Warriors after defeating Micayah Porter in a 6-3 and 6-3 final. Natalie White had a very close match against Valentina Domenicone but was unable to defeat Domenicone after recording 5-7 and 4-6 final scores. Ashley Dube lost in a 1-6 and 2-6 final to Sreshta Puducheri. Camille Cunningham was defeated by Asuntha Fleming after a first set of 1-6 and a second set of 1-6. Claire Blackwell took a huge win against Atar Idrissi after winning in a 6-0 and 6-0 final. In match No. 6, Caley Chambers won by default.
In the doubles, Anya King and Natalie White had a very close match against Micayah Porter and Sreshta Puducheri, but were unable to defeat them after a 6-7 final. Ashley Dube and Caley Chambers lost in a 6-1 final against Valentina Domenicone and Asuntha Fleming. Camille Cunningham and Claire Blackwell won their set by default.
