Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan shut down the King Tornado on Wednesday afternoon in a 9-0 final.

 How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan swept the Tornado in doubles play.  The teams of Alexia Rodriguez and Jennifer Ball and Chyna Jones and Kristi Cooper each won their matches in 8-2 finals.  Caitlynn Nixon and Jessica Sparks won their match in an 8-5 final.

In singles play, the Warriors took all the matches from the Tornado.  Alexia Rodriguez swept her sets in 6-0 finals to win her match.  Jennifer Ball won hers in a 6-4 and 6-2.  Both Chyna Jones and Jessica Sparks won their matches in 6-1 and 6-0 final.  Caitlynn Nixon won her match 8-6, and Kristi Cooper took hers in an 8-1 final.

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will conclude the regular season on the road.  They will take on the Chowan Hawks on April 13 and then the Barton Bulldogs on April 14.
