Brevard, NC – Southern Wesleyan defeated the Brevard College Tornados in a 7-2 final on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan went 2-1 in doubles action on Saturday afternoon.  The teams of Alexia Rodriguez and Jennifer Ball, and Chyna Jones and Kristi Cooper each won their sets 8-2.  Caitlynn Nixon and Houston Childress forced their set to go extra, but fell to the Tornados team of Hannah Stear and Carmen Boone 9-8. 

In singles play, the Warriors went 5-1 against the Tornados.  Alexia Rodriguez, Jennifer Ball, Chyna Jones, Kristi Cooper and Caitlynn Nixon each won their matches in the victory over the Tornados.

What's Next

Southern Wesleyan will return to their home court on February 9 to take on the Benedict College Tigers at 3 p.m.  They will then travel to Mars Hill to take on the Lions on February 10.
