Warriors Rise Above Falcons

Misienheimer, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan defeated the Pfeiffer Falcons in Conference Carolinas action in a final score of 5-4.

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took two out of three in doubles action against the Pfeiffer Falcons on Sunday afternoon.  Jennifer Ball and Chyna Jones took the first doubles win in a final of 8-1.  Aimee Dorley and Kristi Cooper wrapped up doubles play, winning in an 8-7(6) final.  

The Warriors and the Falcons split singles action, each taking three.  Kristi Cooper took the first singles game for the Warriors taking her sets 6-0 and 6-0.  Pfeiffer countered to tie singles action and win the next set.  Southern Wesleyan won the next set when Aimee Dorley won her sets 6-4 and 6-0.  Chyna Jones won the last set of sets for the Warriors, taking hers 6-1 and 6-1.

 

What's Next

The Warriors will next travel to Erskine to take on the Flying Fleet on April 10.  They will then return home to take on the Emmanuel Lions on April 12 in their regular season Conference Carolinas match-up of the season.
