Coach Jernigan Says…

"The match with Tusculum College today was a great measuring tool to see where we are at physically and mentally before conference tournament next weekend. Tusculum played great and congrats to them. They are a very strong team. Also congrats to Jennifer Ball and Alexia Rodriguez for beating the #8 ranked southeast region doubles team from Tusculum. I am still looking at solidifying our doubles teams and wanted to see Alexia and Jenn together. And "bang!", they go out there and get the biggest win of any doubles team history here at SWU. That's just awesome."

How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took one of the three doubles matches on Friday afternoon.  Alexia Rodriguez and Jennifer Ball took one of the biggest wins in Warriors' history in an 8-6 victory over Tusculum's Fuuke and Marterova.

The Tusculum Pioneers took three of the six singles matches to claim the victory early on.  Due to the early win, the teams did not finish the final three matches in singles play.

What's Next

The Warriors will return home on April 18 in their final regular season match of the season as they take on Brewton-Parker at 3 pm.
