How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan took all three of the double sets to start off the Conference Carolinas match against the Tornado. Alexia Rodriquez and Cati Wintrich won by default when the Tornado could not play the third doubles set. Jennifer Ball and Elizabeth Mulkey followed to win their set 8-4, and then Aimee Dorley and Kristi Cooper won theirs in an 8-4 final.
The Warriors took five of the six singles matches against the Tornado. Elizabeth Mulkey won her match by default when King did not have a sixth competitor. Kristi Cooper and Aimee Dorley both won their matches following Mulkey. Cooper won hers 6-2 and 6-3, and Dorley took hers 6-1 and 6-2. They were followed by wins by Jennifer Ball and Cati Wintrich. Ball took her sets 6-4, 3-6 and 1-0(4). Wintrich took hers in an 8-1 final.
What's Next
The Warriors will next travel to Pfeiffer to take on the Falcons on March 31, before continuing their road trip to take on the Belmont Abbey Crusaders on April 1. The Warriors will remain away on April 10 to travel to Erskine to take on the Flying Fleet.
