"Congrats to North Greenville for not ever giving up on the match. We were in control for most of the match, but just couldn't close the door on them. We definitely had some rust since we haven't played a match in 14 days but we had the chance to win at the end of the day. We just have to get mentally tough and shut the door on our opponents."
How It Happened
Southern Wesleyan took two out of three of the doubles action to start off the matches verses the North Greenville Crusaders. Aimee Dorley and Kristi Cooper won the first set for the Warriors in an 8-6 final. They were followed by a win by the duo of Jennifer Ball and Chyna Jones in an 8-4 final score.
North Greenville dominated the singles matches taking four out of the six matches played. Aimee Dorley and Kristi Cooper led both of their matches to give the Warriors two wins in singles action. Dorley would win two close sets in final scores of 7-5 and 6-4, and Cooper would take her sets in final scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
What's Next
The Warriors will remain at home on March 18 and will take on the Converse College Valkryies. They will remain at home on March 20 to take on the Limestone Saints.
