Box Score 2 MISENHEIMER, N.C.- Southern Wesleyan allowed 39 hits in its 20-9 and 20-3 losses to Pfeiffer.
In game one, the Falcons (17-24, 9-12 CC) scored four runs in the bottom of the first and three runs in the bottom of the second for an early 7-0 lead. The Warriors (11-28, 2-19 CC) got on the board in the top of the third as Justin Brew grounded out to drive in John Garrett. Pfeiffer added two more runs in the third and five more runs in the fifth to stretch their lead to 13 runs. Southern Wesleyan responded with five runs in the top of the sixth to cut the deficit to eight runs, but then proceeded to give up six runs in the bottom of the sixth. They scored three more runs in the top of the seventh to cut the lead to 11 runs, but the deficit was too large to make up.
Avery Mahon went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. Luke Hostetler batted 1-for-3 with one run, one RBI, and a double. Brad Bisko had two RBIs and one run.
In game two, the Pfeiffer scored three runs in the bottom of the first for an early 3-0 lead. Southern Wesleyan scored one run in the top of the second as Garrett singled to score Conner Ewing. They tied the game with two more runs in the top of the third as Ewing singled to drive in Julio Justo and Bisko scored off of a fielder's choice by Hostetler. The Falcons pulled away as they scored eight runs in the fourth and nine runs in the fifth.
Bisko went 3-for-5 with one run. Garrett batted 1-for-4 with one RBI. Ewing went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run.
The Warriors next host Truett-McConnell April 13th at 6 p.m.
