Box Score MISENHEIMER, N.C.- Southern Wesleyan left 11 runners on base in its 3-1 loss to Pfeiffer.
The Falcons (15-24, 7-12) got on the board first with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. They added another run in the bottom of the sixth for a 3-0 lead. The Warriors got on the board in the top of the eighth as Conner Ewing singled to drive in Avery Mahon. In the top of the ninth, Southern Wesleyan went three up and three down to close out the game.
Mahon went 2-for-4 with one run. Ewing batted 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Tyler Rio (2-6) pitched six innings, allowed three runs off of seven hits, and had three strikeouts.
The Warriors wrap up their series against Pfeiffer tomorrow April 9 with a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
