BREVARD, N.C.- Southern Wesleyan's women's tennis team defeated Brevard 8-1.
The Warriors (6-8) went 5-1 in singles play and 3-0 in doubles play.
In singles competition, Aimee Dorley defeated Nirvanna Silva 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 1, Anita Maryskova defeated Chyna Jones 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 2, Jennifer Ball defeated Sam Miranda 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 3, Tadala Kandulu defeated Katie Hatter 6-0, 6-0 at the No 4, Samatha Powell defeated Claire Dysart 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 5, and Elizabeth Mulkey defeated Kristen Rathbun 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 6.
In doubles competition, Dorley/Powell defeated Maryskova/Silva 8-3 at the No. 1, Jones/Ball defeated Hatter/Miranda 8-1 at the No. 2, and Mulkey/Kandulu defeated Rathbun/Dysart 8-2 at the No. 3.
Southern Wesleyan next hosts Limestone March 31 at 3 p.m.
