CENTRAL, S.C.- Southern Wesleyan's women's tennis team defeated Lees-McRae 7-2.

The Warriors (5-7, 4-1 CC) went 5-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play.

In singles competition, Jennifer Ball defeated Hilary Lutz 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 at the No. 2, Chyna Jones defeated Mackenzie Langmade 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 at the No. 3, Tadala Kandulu defeated Taylor Bost 7-5, 6-1 at the No. 4, Samantha Powell defeated Rebecca Pierce 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 5, and Elizabeth Mulkey defeated Amanda Chapman 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6. Caroline Green defeated Aimee Dorley 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 1.

In doubles competition, Dorley/Powell defeated Langmade/Bost 8-0 at the No. 2 and Kandulu/Mulkey defeated Chapman/Pierce 8-1 at the No. 3. Green/Lutz defeated Ball/Jones 8-3 at the No. 1.

Southern Wesleyan next hosts Pfeiffer March 25 at 3 p.m.
