JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.- Southern Wesleyan's women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Carson-Newman.

The Warriors (2-6) went 0-6 in singles play and 0-3 in doubles play.

In singles competition, Hannah Ayers defeated Aimee Dorley 6-2, 3-6, 17-15 at the No. 1, Patricia Guerreiro defeated Jennifer Ball 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 2, Jill Corsato defeated Tadala Kandulu 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 3, Brooke Sanderson defeated Samantha Powell 9-7 at the No. 4, Gabrielle Wood defeated Elizabeth Mulkey 8-1 at the No. 5, and Haleigh Chastain defeated Chyna Jones by default.

In doubles competition, Harris/Guerreiro defeated Dorley/Jones 7-2 at the No. 1, Corsato/Sanderson defeated Powell/Ball 8-1 at the No. 2, Ayers/Wood defeated Kandulu/Mulkey 8-4 at the No. 3.

Southern Wesleyan next travels to Emmanuel March 5 for a 1 p.m. match.
