Warriors Finish Buccaneer Invitational With Three School Records

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Southern Wesleyan finished competition at the Buccaneer Invitational on Saturday with competition in seven events.

Roman Wright set a new school record in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.09 meters. The men's 4x400 relay team of Jhante McMillan, Nick Edwards, Marquise Jackson and Keith Johnson also set a school record with a time of 3:24.22.

John Fredrickson also set a new school record in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:50.66. On the women's side Michelle Last placed 13th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:26.69, her fastest time of the season. The women's 4x400 team ran a time of 4:04.06, the fifth fastest in the NCCAA this year.

In the long jump Kia Tillman placed 14th with a mark of 5.27 meters and Amber King finished 22nd with a jump of 5.10 meters.

The Warriors will have a week off before heading to Cedarville, Ohio for the NCCAA National Indoor Meet beginning on Feb. 20.
