CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan women's tennis fell to Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday afternoon 9-0.
The Warriors were behind 5-0 before the match started with just three players making the trip. Abbey Coker had the most success on the day, falling 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 3 singles spot. Both Samantha Powell and Elizabeth Mulkey were turned back in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 in singles action. Powell and Mulkey dropped the lone doubles match of the day, 8-3.
SWU returns to the court on Feb. 20 to take on Carson-Newman at 1 p.m.
