GULF SHORES, Ala. – Southern Wesleyan men's and women's track and field will be represented at the NAIA Track and Field National Championships this weekend. This year's event will be held at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.

The Warriors – who are in their first year of competition – will send five student-athletes to compete in the event. Jhante McMillan is the lone men's competitor and will run in the 400 meter hurdles. That event will take place at approximately 4:25 p.m. central time on Thursday. Finals for the event is set for Saturday around 4:20 p.m.

For the women Jess Maggio will run in the lone individual event for the Warriors, competing in the 100 meter hurdles. Prelims for the event will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday with finals set for 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Maggio will also take part in the 4x400 meter relay with Olivia Bush, Lavornne Taylor and Logan Thiel. Prelims for that event will close out Friday's night of competition at 7:45 p.m. with finals set to end the entire meet on Saturday at 6:15 p.m.
