GENEVA, Ohio – Southern Wesleyan track and field wrapped up competition at the NAIA National Indoor Meet on Saturday with three individual participants in competition.
Keith Johnson saw the best finish on the day, placing 14th in the 400m dash with a time of 49.06. That time is a personal best for Johnson and a new school record. Johnson came into the race seeded 19th.
Jess Maggio entered the 60m Hurdles seeded 25th and went on to finish in 16th place with a time of 9.13. That time is also a personal best for Maggio and another school record.
Amber King also competed in the long jump on Friday, finishing in 22nd place. Her longest jump on the afternoon came in at 5.21m. On Saturday King finished in 26th place in the triple jump with a longest jump of 10.83m. She fouled on her other two attempts.
The Warriors will begin the outdoor season next weekend at the University of South Florida March 13-14.
