Warriors Fall on the Road

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Southern Wesleyan had four players in double figures but it wasn't enough on Tuesday night as the Warriors fell to Bob Jones, 72-65.


Cameron Solomon led the Warriors (10-10) with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting.  The junior missed just one shot from inside the three-point line on the night.  Dwayne Bryant added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, his 10th of the season.  The Warriors also got 14 points from Kenny Holmes and three assists.


The Warriors led by six at halftime, 31-25 and pushed the lead to eight early in the second half.  The Bruins immediately embarked on a 12-0 run to take a 37-33 lead with 14:50 to play.  The teams traded leads four times and saw two ties over the next five minutes before Bob Jones seized control with an 11-0 run to take a 53-44 lead with 6:44 to play.


The Warriors will be back in action on Thursday as they host Faulkner University to Tysinger Gymnasium for a SSAC contest at 8 p.m.
