MOBILE, Ala. – Southern Wesleyan dropped two matches on Saturday, falling to No. 1 Auburn-Montgomery 9-0 and  narrowly losing to Spring Hill 5-4.

The Warriors picked up their fist singles wins of the year as Elizabeth Mulkey defeated Spring Hill's Kate Sotolongo 6-1, 6-0 at number one singles.  Rebecca Furr also picked up a victory in number six singles.  In doubles it was Mulkey teaming up with Raquel Halvorsen to win 8-4 over Michaelis and Sotolongo at number one doubles.

SWU ran into a buzz saw in the morning match, falling to the preseason No. 1 and defending national champions in Auburn-Montgomery.

SWU is back in action on Saturday, March 1 as they make the short trip to Emmanuel for a tri-match, against Emmanuel and Brenau.  The Brenau match is slated for 11 a.m. with the Emmanuel match set for 2 p.m.
