• Attended Dorman High School where she graduated in 2024
• Here team was named the 5A SC State Champions during the 2021-22 and 2023-24 seasons
• In 2022, her team were the AAU Premier 16's Runner Up
• Named the 2021 SC Girl's Strength Meet Runner-Up

• Born September 8, 2005 to Justin Mitchell and Mary Piper
• Majoring in Psychology with a concentration in counseling

What are your goals for the upcoming season? To work hard, have fun, block Michaela Andress, and trust in God's plan for our team.

Why did you choose SWU? I really liked Coach Heinz and how close the team was when I came on my visit.

What is your favorite thing about SWU? My teammates and coaches who I love so very much! Also proximity to Helping Hands.

Why is your sport important to you? Volleyball has brought me some of my best friends, and it has taught me how to be disciplined, work hard, and put others before myself.

Who is your greatest influence in your life? Why?  My sister because she has shown me how to overcome any obstacle in life and to work hard for what you want.  I truly don't know who I would be without her.

Where do your want to be in five years? I want to be a counselor in an eating disorder clinic, I want to regularly shop for groceries at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, I want to own a punch bug, then retire and have my own coffee shop.

Do you have a nickname? How did you get it? I have several including Barah, Bear, and Sarah Hughs.  Katie always called me "Barah", Meg then shortened it to "Bear", and Meg's dad believes my last name is Hughs.

Favorite athlete? Jada Lee

Favorite food? Yogurt bowls, has to be Chobani Vanilla High Protein Greek Yogurt, frozen blueberries and strawberries, any seven Sundays cereal, PB Fit powder and honey.
