Roman Wright was hired as assistant track & field and cross-country coach in February 2020.
Wright re-joins Southern Wesleyan after spending time in the private sector, designing & building athletic facilities around the country.
Wright competed at Southern Wesleyan University, graduating winter of 2017. During his time at SWU, he competed in the Long & Triple jump, the 200, and the 400. Beginning Spring of his Junior year he began to learn about coaching field events, eventually spending his senior season as a volunteer coach, primarily focusing on throws.
Wright will assist in recruiting, as well as coaching throws & triple jump.
A native of Springdale, Ark., Roman is married to SWU Track and Field alumni Jami Wright.
