Bryant Hedgeman enters his third season with the Warrior Women’s Basketball program during the 2025-2026 campaign.
Hedgeman comes to Southern Wesleyan University from Marshalltown Community College in Iowa where he spent last season as the interim head coach.
Coach Hedgeman is responsible for post player development, recruiting and to assist with the day-to-day operations of the women’s basketball program.
“It's great being part of the SWU family,” commented Hedgeman. “You see it daily through the interactions of the staff and community. From a basketball standpoint, recruiting student-athletes that meet the mission and vision of the women's basketball program has been ideal. Being able to find future servant leaders through the game of basketball has been a constant reminder of God's favor.”
"Bryant wants the game of basketball to be his mission field for his faith and we are blessed to have an individual like him join our staff,” commented Head Coach John Davis. “I fully believe that he will help grow our Christ-centered culture and help push our program further from a competitive standpoint."
He is originally from Los Angeles, California and has called Georgia his home for the last 15 years. Hedgeman is a graduate of Morehouse College with a degree in Psychology as well as Master of Science in Sports Administration from Georgia State University. He has coached basketball at various levels.
Hedgeman lives in Easley, S.C. with his wife, Chantale and their son Bryant Lamar Hedgeman Jr. (LJ).
