"To continue to grow as a player, teammate, and man."
Why did you choose SWU?Â
"I felt SWU was a place I could grow both academically and spiritually. My dad also played baseball at SWU so I was excited to follow in his footsteps."
What is your favorite thing about SWU?Â
"I enjoy the small campus and welcoming atmosphere."
Why is your sport important to you?Â
"Baseball has introduced me to some amazing people, gave me many unforgettable memories, and taught me important life lessons along the way."
Who is your greatest influence in life? Why?Â
"My dad. I know many guys will say their dad, but after nearly losing my dad to cancer and watching him fight for his life for years, I learned to enjoy every moment with him. I can honestly say he is my best friend."
Where do you want to be in 5 years?Â
"I hope to be teaching and coaching in South Carolina."
Do you have a nickname? What is it?Â
"Rusty."
How did you get your nickname?Â
"My sister, who is eight years older than me, chose the name Rusty for me before I was born. My parents has chosen another name but by the time I was born, everyone had already started calling me Rusty."
Who is your favorite athlete?Â
"CM Punk."
What is your favorite food?Â
"Impossible Burgers."
