What are your goals for the upcoming season? To achieve more than I did last year, to succeed

Why did you choose SWU? My faith led me here, God has a plan for me

What is your favorite thing about SWU?  Coach Zurke is the best pitching coach I've ever had

Why is your sport important to you?  I love baseball.  It helps me to be patient, and strive for greater things on and off the field.

Who is your greatest influence in life? Why?  My mom's dad.  He's a man I want to be exactly like when I grow up.  Patient and loving.

Where do you want to be in five years?  I want a wife and a son and a good career as a lawyer.

Do you have a nickname? What is it? How did you get it? Splitter or Maverick.  I throw a splitter and I dressed up as Maverick from Top Gun for Halloween last year.

Favorite athlete? Tin Lincecum
