What are your goals for the upcoming season?Â
"My goal is for our team to be on top of the conference standings at the end of the year."
Why did you choose SWU?Â
"I chose to transfer to SWU because I believe in the coaching staff and their expectations for the team over the next few years. Playing baseball in the Conference Carolinas was something that I wanted to do as well. I also really liked that the school put a major emphasis on guiding the students to deepen their relationship with God."
What is your favorite thing about SWU?Â
"SWu is a very close-knit community where everyone is very supportive of each other, with God as the focus. I also really enjoy the relationships that I have made since I have been at SWU."
Why is your sport important to you?Â
"I have loved everything about this game since I was a kid, and most of my earliest memories are centered around baseball. This game teaches you how to deal with life because in baseball you will fail more than you succeed, and you learn how to embrace failure and learn from it rather than letting it beat you down."
Who is your greatest influence in life? Why?Â
"My family is my greatest influence because they are always supportive of me. They show me the value of hard work, and emphasize the importance of keeping God first within your life."
Where do you want to be in 5 years?Â
"I have always dreamed of playing professionally, so I hope I will still be playing in five years, but if not, I want to be in a place where I am successful in my career with great relationships between myself and those around me."
Do you have a nickname? What is it?Â
"Mr Structure and Hollywood."
How did you get your nickname?Â
"Both nicknames were given to me this year by my teammates here at SWU."
Who is your favorite athlete?Â
"Brett Gardner."
What is your favorite food?Â
"Pasta."
