Hunter Hubbard

Hunter Hubbard joined the Southern Wesleyan staff in 2020 as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the Warriors Baseball program.  In the fall of 2021, he was announced as the Interim Head Coach of the program.

Prior to that, Hubbard served as the assistant coach at East Georgia State College (NJCAA D1) from 2017 to 2020.  In his first season there, he assisted in leading the school to a record setting season in wins with 32, and then reset that record the next season with 34.  Under his guidance, the pitching staff was ranked ninth in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings pitched in 2020.  He also assisted eight players in transitioning from JUCO to NCAA Division I baseball.  While there, Hubbard signed the fourth ranked junior college recruiting class (Perfect Game) in the nation during the 2020 season.

Hubbard played baseball for four years at USC-Aiken (2014-17).  While there, he was named a player to watch in 2016.  He posted a career ERA of 2.66 over the four years.  Over 44 innings pitched in relief, he recorded 49 strikeouts.  He graduated from USC-Aiken with a bacelor of arts in communication in May of 2017.
