Dylan Roberts enters his first season with Southern Wesleyan and will serve as the Pitching Coach.
Roberts spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The team would finish 82-41 over the four seasons while winning two GLIAC Regular Season Championship and two GLIAC Tournament Championships. The Panthers also made two NCAA D2 Midwest Regional appearances and were finalist both years. Roberts would mainly work with pitchers and also served two seasons as JV head coach. In 2019 Roberts also served as a Pitching Coach for the Northwood University were, they finished 33-21 and made a NCAA D2 Midwest Regional appearance.
Roberts also graduated in the summer of 2022, with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Davenport. A graduate of Northwood University in 2018 with a degree in Entertainment and Sports Management.
In 2021, Roberts served as the Manager of the I-94’s of the Michigan Collegiate Baseball League. The team would win the regular season and the playoffs, finishing with a record of 23-8. Roberts was voted Manager of the Year in league.
In 2019, Roberts served as an Assistant Coach for the Kalamazoo Growlers in the Northwoods League. During his time, he worked with the pitchers, hitters and served as the third base coach as well. The team would finish 37-35 and make the organization's first ever playoff appearance.
In 2016 and 2017, Roberts served as the Manager for Aristeo Construction in the Lansing Area Baseball League. Over the team’s first two seasons in the league the team would finish a combined 37-9 and win the playoff championships both years.
As a player, Roberts was a part of Northwood University's first ever GLIAC championships in 2017 and 2018. The team would make two Midwest Regional appearances and finish with a record of 84-39. Before Northwood, Roberts spent two years as a reliever and a starter on the mound at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. The team would finish 48-36 over the two seasons. Roberts is a 2013 graduate of Howell High School, where the team made two appearances in the MHSAA Division 1 Final Fours.
