P.B. Wood Driving Range and M.L. Atcheson Putting Green
The P.B. Wood Driving Range and M.L. Atcheson Putting Green were
dedicated in the fall of 2013 and serve a dual purpose, as a place
for the men's and women's golf teams to practice on campus and also
as a student-run driving range that is open to the public.
The driving range features a two-tiered tee box with eight
target greens at various distances up to 350 yards. Future
plans call for a clubhouse for the men's and women's golf teams and
restrooms that will be open to the general public. A gazebo houses
picnic tables and the ball machine. Current prices are $3.50
for a small bucket of balls and $6.00 for a large bucket.
The putting green is a synthetic surface that features multiple
cups for golfers to practice from different lengths. There is
also a green side bunker to allow anyone to practice hitting from
the traps.
